The British Psychological Society Right to Play

In recent years children’s playtime has been reduced by as much as 45 minutes despite the fact that research shows play is crucial for children’s development and wellbeing.

For this film we worked with The British Psychological Society and filmed a group of primary school children to get to the heart of the matter and captured their take on the impact of reduced playtimes in a fun and informal way. We filmed them in a simple location and watched them entertain themselves while discussing why playtime was so important for their learning, creativity, expression and general happiness.
